As an interdisciplinary artist who originally comes from the visual arts and has produced electronic music herself as sound artist Pony, she has focussed exclusively on dance and performance art since 2016. In her artistic work, she thematises diverse levels of relationships that are expressed in physicality and dance and gives the complex connections between people a visible form. In doing so, she questions and deconstructs social norms and power structures, particularly in relation to body images, age, gender roles and queer identities, and creates space for the diversity of dancing bodies and gender-neutral forms of expression.Most recently, her artistic productions have been shown at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, tanzhaus nrw, brut Wien, as part of the düsseldorf festival and also nationally as art in public space. Four biographies. In ‘horea’, four performers meet – their movements tell stories of influence and identity. How do lived experiences, social codes and female identities manifest themselves in movement? In the theatre hall of the Malkasten, four performers meet in ‘horea’ and explore the question of how biography and conditioning manifest themselves in physical expression. The performers' bodies become visible as living archives, shaped by fragments of childhood, inner upheavals, normative attributions and the subtle traces of ageing. These inscriptions give rise to a multi-layered choreographic structure: movements alternate between somatic impulse and formal control, approaching the biographical as much as they elude abstraction. Instead of a linear narrative, a dynamic web of meaning emerges, a resonance chamber for projection, legibility and transformation. The stage space is transformed into a living landscape. Inspired by the movement language of the Judson Dance Theater of the 1960s, the two dancers explore the boundaries of their own and the other body and find impressive images for the tension between closeness and distance. Daniela Georgieva and Hugo Le Brigand reflect on physicality and community as basic conditions of human being-in- the-world and the current reaction to physical distancing and uncertainty. In their choreography, they explore how the self changes in exchange with the other and over time, how perception of the self and location in space shift. Here in Lindau waiting, running, searching and meeting each other in „destination paradise“. This is the name of the work of the artist Martin Pfeifle. This question will be investigated and questioned by three performers* in dance on location, with walking, walking as dance. Daniela Georgieva choreographs her own rules, following and breaking them, and what decisions are made when three unknown people meet. Is it the path itself, the way of walking or the particular choreography that unfolds in the urban context, using the open street as a big stage? Whether in diagonals, circles or triangular forms, different ways of walking dissolve and form their own closed unit of togetherness in the urban context. This circle is found again in „destination paradise“ and becomes part of the choreography. The three performers Hugo Le Brigand, Snorre Elvin and David Kummer use the unknown field to extend the urban space by listening, sitting or waiting for the right moment in the now. responded directly to Martin Pfeifle's work ‘DUSK’, which dominates the entrance area of the Kunsthalle Barmen. The artist used the exterior space of the Kunsthalle as a stage to develop a subtle, body-based exploration of the architecture there. In her site-specific intervention, Georgieva addressed the monumentality, austerity and aloofness of the building. Through conscious and repeated walking around, a central element of her artistic practice, she created a slow, meditative loop of movement. This allowed the massive structure to enter a dialogical resonance space in which proximity and distance, observation and presence, inside and outside are renegotiated. Georgieva's performance thus opened up an unusual approach to the architecture of the Kunsthalle: she transformed the space in front of the entrance into a place of waiting, dreaming and pausing, where the boundaries between performative gesture and sculptural environment shift. The intervention thus not only entered into a poetic exchange with Pfeifle's ‘DUSK,’ but also made visible the otherwise overlooked qualities of the place. This will allow the audience to become familiar with the performers and move freely through the sculpture park. Only at the end of the three-hour performance will the performers come together around the chapel in the park. "We want the audience to explore the performers' quality of movement at their leisure," Georgieva says. In the spirit of "Judson Dance Theater," the choreographer is interested in improvisation-based movement derived from everyday life and its repetition. She develops this minimal narrative language in her own dance-choreographic work and thus focuses increasingly on the relationship between body and space. Corresponding to the body's approach to its surroundings are the sculptures and the trees of the park. The concentration on the repetitive movements is further enhanced by the absence of musical accompaniment.
